RetroChallenge 2012 Winter Warmup

Aaaaand we're back. Despite the fact that I have had the better part of a month to think about it, I only came up with an idea for a challenge today. I've decided that over the next month I am going to learn as much as I can about my old Tandy Model 100 portable computer. It was my dads, and he used it a lot in his business travels. I really have had very little experience with it, and since I have it, I should know what I can do with it.

So some formal goals:

• Evaluate all hardware for proper operation.
• Figure out how to load software from cassette tape.
• Check out software library on hand.
• Attach Disk-Video Interface box and see what that's all about.
• Attempt to retrieve new software from the internet and run.
• Have lots of fun.

In the end I would like to have a general familiarity with the unit and its capabilities, so that I might get some actual use out of it, but also that I might come up with other ideas for in in future RetroChallenges.
