January 31, 2011: Final Thoughts

Well, as another RC comes to an end, it is time to reflect upon our accomplishments, or lack thereof, as the case may be.

I feel like I killed two birds with one stone on the Game Gear repair this time around. First, and most obviously, I repaired the system. Second, I finally got to try my hand at soldering. Somewhere on the back burner of my mind there are several soldering projects that I would like to do, so this is a good first step.

I'm pleased that I got that I got to do some programming on the TG16, although I would have liked to do something a little more sophisticated. The time and energy just weren't there this time around.

Once again I didn't get anywhere on the Retr0Bright project. I found the bulbs, and everything. Oh well, Summer will be a better time to do it, anyway, what with the abundant sunshine to do the work of my lightbulbs. I'll save myself some wattage in the process.
